vigil candles expressing grief

Grief lament

tear your hair in sorrow
bow your head

Don’t stand there
looking at me
what you expect
me to say?

Scream and cry
I don’t care
I don’t mind
does it look like I do?

It’s you
it’s you
it’s you

You do whatever
you need to

Tell me
and I’ll bring you
roses and dry
white wine and dry
your eyes

And I’ll move you
I’ll pick you up and
carry you on
my back, I’ll
bear you
up on eagle’s wings
we’ll fly

Grief lament
